Villa Malee is one of two privately owned villas – the other is Villa Jasmine – set in shared grounds in a quiet residential area above Kata Beach. One of the first villas built in the area, it has been welcoming guests from around the world since 2006, and its position on the hillside gives it sea views over Kata and some fine sunsets. Kata Beach is about five minutes away by car and Karon Beach about ten.
The air-conditioned living space is open plan, with the lounge, dining area and kitchen flowing into one another and a large open doorway onto the pool terrace, so children in the pool stay in sight from most of the room. The modern kitchen sits next to the dining table, there is a separate TV area for the children, and complimentary fibre-optic Wi-Fi runs throughout the villa.
There are four large en-suite bedrooms, all air-conditioned: three doubles and one twin, whose beds can be separated or pushed together. The bedrooms also have fans and desks, and one of the bathrooms has twin basins and a jacuzzi bathtub. The villa sleeps up to eight guests, and baby cots and extra bedding are available on request.
Outside, the infinity pool has sea views over Kata, with sun loungers on the terrace and pool safety fencing available on request. The sala overlooks the pool from above, and its elevated views make it the place to be at sunset. Barbecue facilities are available on the pool terrace.
Villa Malee is fully staffed, with a villa manager, private chef, room maid and gardener. The chef cooks Thai and Western dishes in the villa kitchen, breakfast is included every day, and further meals, barbecues and a grocery shopping service can be arranged. The villa manager can also organise airport transfers, taxis, car and minivan hire, tours, restaurant bookings and babysitting, and the owner, Brian, a keen golfer, can arrange tee times and golf packages.

Cancellation policy
- No refunds. If you tell us of a cancellation no later than one month before your arrival date, the amount paid can be used towards a mutually acceptable alternative date of stay.
- If a cancellation is made within one month of arrival, payments are retained by the owner and cannot be used for rescheduling.
- The owners try to be as fair and flexible as possible, within reason.
